Cameron Joel Robbins

Our new son was born Tuesday, October 20th, at 7:50 a.m. He weighed 6 lbs. 12 oz. and was 20 inches long. We thank God for his perfect health and wonderful personality :) We are excited to start a new part of our lives as parents! Both of these pictures were taken this morning during one of his many naps :) He is so darn cute!

Summer 2009

Since I miserably failed at keeping things updated as the summer went along, here is the summary/recap.

The summer started off quite busy. We were out of town 3 of the 4 first weekends (graduations, Women of Faith, etc.). Then not long after was 4th of July. Almost every weekend away, at that point, had been to Bryant's parent's house in Columbia Falls. One weekend was a three-day when we took our little truck up a snowy mountain and slept in the back (since we were in bear coutry). It was nice and cozy :)

Over 4th of July we went floating on the river. His mother, Jackie, and I shared a raft and enjoyed the weather. The boys (Bryant, his two brothers, and dad) all floated along on personal pontoons fishing. We brought lunch with us and ate as we floated. It was a really relaxing, fun day.

Not long after, we bought a 12 foot aluminum boat with a 4 hp motor just for fishing (we got a great deal). We took the boat up to a nearby reservoir or lake a few evenings a week and some weekends. We only caught a few fish, and only kept one. It tasted delicious.

August started off with a weekend visit from Bryant's parents. Bryant and his dad went backpacking over one night, while his mom and I hung out around town. The following weekend was our trip down to Colorado, which specifically included the baby shower. While the trip down took forever and was full of little mishaps, the vacation itself was quite relaxing. We got to spend time with my parents, sister, relatives, neighbors, and of course the little nephew, Theo. It was a great trip and we got lots of wonderful gifts from those who attended the baby shower.

Since then, we have mainly been gearing up for school and doing some early prep for the baby. No, we still have not named him (a surprisingly hard decision). Bryant will be taking a full load this semester including his Senior Design while he is also working his 15 hrs a week with the MDT. I, on the other hand, will only be taking one credit and growing a baby. Our furniture should be arriving in the next week or two at which time I will transform the office/storage room into the office/storage room/baby room. Should be quite the task of organization, and I am completely up for it.

School started this week. I have seen some old friends and helped Bryant's brother, Austin, move into the dorms for his first year at college. At this point, I am just getting really excited for Baby to be here!

*I apologize for 1. not updating for pretty much the entire summer, and 2. not getting pictures of all our adventure. We continually forgot about bringing a camera with us until we were already on the road.

It's a Boy!!!

So we found out on Tuesday that we are having a little baby boy :) We are both getting more and more excited each day. Though the news isn't extensive, it is very enjoyable and we are looking forward to the new baby boy stuff to come! (As of now, I am about 4 1/2 months along... half way there! I can't believe how fast the time goes. It is already almost July...)

We hope you are all enjoying your summer and look forward to rest of the summer adventures to come!

Summertime

So we have been out of school for about a month now. I have had no luck on even a part-time job so it looks like I will just be staying home and growing a baby this summer. I do, however, plan to help out with VBS and other camps in the area, which will get me out and about more often. In addition, I would like to pick up a new hobby or two, one of which may be sewing :) Who knows.

As far as the pregnant life goes, everyone including the doctors think I am growing faster than average which leads many to believe there may be more than one in there. We got a rough, early first look last week and it appears there is only one. I have my first official ultrasound in two weeks so hopefully that will give a better picture :) We are excited to find out either way!

With that said, I am a little over four months along with a cute little belly. I have a few pictures so far as well as a bunch of others I just posted on Facebook. Here are the prego pics thus far:

This one is at about three months three weeks-ish. Not a great picture, but it was the day I got my haircut and Bryant liked that.

This one is not quite 4 months. Also not a great picture, but I got out of shower and put on my workout clothes and remembered I had wanted to take a picture so I did do before I forgot again.

This one is about a week over 4 months. I look kind of silly standing in front of the black futon with a black shirt on... and I never did anything with my hair... o well :)

Anyway, those are all the pictures so far. And even though I haven't been working, we have been pretty busy the last few weeks. Bryant's brother, Austin, graduated hs this last weekend so we went up to see his family for the second weekend in a row :) It has been fun and we have a lot planned for the rest of the summer. I will keep you posted as the adventure continues! :)

One Adventure Begins as Another Ends

First, I want to so hi and think you to everyone! It has been a busy year with many exciting events. As many of you might have already guessed, we are finishing finals this week and summer starts today (even though it is snowing). This marks the beginning of our new adventure.

As mentioned on facebook, I am pregnant (13 weeks and two days) which means we are starting a new chapter in our lives! Bryant got the SMART scholarship (http://www.montana.edu/cpa/news/nwview.php?article=7166) which we are extremely thankful for. We are very blessed. All in all, these particular events mean we will be moving to Vicksburg, Mississippi next May, we will start our family, and I will be a stay at home mom. Very exciting :)

All that said, I will hopefully be posting updates and pictures regularly from here on out. I hope you are all doing well and enjoying the blessings of God!

Happy Summer!
